THE SITUATION

Acutus Medical is a medical device company that creates cutting-edge products to diagnose and treat cardiac arrhythmias. When the global pandemic derailed their flagship EP 3.0 Virtual Summit, I helped the company pivot to a virtual event platform. This transition required adopting new technologies and platforms capable of hosting a large-scale online event while replicating the in-person experience. By utilizing immersive technology and social media marketing, EP 3.0 reached over 10,000 physicians and achieved an impressive 57% show rate.

THE SOLUTION

Acutus Medical embraced this challenge head-on, harnessing cutting-edge technology and innovative marketing strategies to craft a virtual event that met and exceeded all expectations.

I. Custom Virtual Event Platform: 
Developed a custom platform replicating the experience of an in-person conference, featuring live streaming, interactive breakout rooms, and virtual networking lounges
Incorporated virtual reality (VR) technology to offer engaging product demonstrations, allowing electrophysiologists to experience Acutus’ innovative technologies firsthand.

II. Humanizing the Virtual Experience: 
Restructured the event format to combat digital fatigue and keep attendees engaged
Introduced shorter, more dynamic sessions with virtual coffee breaks for networking and live demonstrations
Established a virtual exhibition booth that offered detailed product information and one-on-one consultations, ensuring attendees could access personalized information

    By partnering with San Diego’s iconic Midway Museum, we created a social media promo featuring the Acutus team gearing up for Mission Possible: EP 3.0 Virtual Summit. This social media campaign featured the company’s leadership team.
